Info on Cattaraugus Knife

Post by Rifleman »

Hello,I'm new here.I don't usually buy pocket knives, but this one caught my eye at a gunshow. It's marked 22919 on the small blade. It looks a lot better than the photos. It is very tight and the blades have a very strong snap when opened and closed.Anybody know what time period it is from?

I'm not sure that Cattaraugus knives can be dated with any great accuracy but the company went out of business in 1963 if memory serves.

This knife, in style, appears to be somewhat earlier than that. My guess, pre WWII, say 1930's.
