Real Old KA BAR

Post by woodrat99 »

Here's an old KA BAR I picked up recently. The scales are either tortoise or imitation tortoise. Closed length is 4". Anyone have one like it or know how old it is?? Appreciate you looking.

Hi Woodrat, those a definitely celluloid handles. What does the tang stamp say exactly, and is there a stamp on the other side (or blade) as well?

KA-BAR Olean, NY dates 1923--1950 in goin's encyclopedia of cutlery markings. Your knife was probably made in the 1930's or later, just my opinion though.
