well alvie, that all depends on how thick you want the scales and this usually depends on the size of your hands. If you have big hand and prefer thicker handle you can leave them up to 1/2" thick per side and then haft them down to the bolsters to give a thicker more swelled profile. If you prefer thinner handles I use a slab of wood not over 1/16" thicker than the bolsters. But of course you can always grind more off, but you can never put it back on as they say.

The problem is the pics were hosted off-site, on Photo Bucket.
Once the account was moved, deleted or expired the pics no longer show up.
That is the problem with off site photo hosting.

That happens after time. Those pics were posted over 4 years ago.
