ouch

Post by just bob »

Just placed a small order with Jantz and the flat rate shipping is $17.95 now. Ouch! Surely there has to be better options for pins and small orders. If anyone gets anything better figured out please post the information.

It annoys me to no end when people try to make a profit off the shipping. :x

As usual - I was wrong. The reason mine was $17.95 was because I ordered some O-1 that was 18". Here is the info;

SHIPPING CHARGES
To offer the best shipping rates for our customers, Jantz is implementing two tiers of flat rate shipping:

$12.95 flat rate shipping for all orders in the 48 contiguous United States.

$17.95 flat rate shipping for all orders in the 48 contiguous United States that include steel measuring 18" in length or more.

Still a lot to pay for $75 worth of pin stock and a pc of O-1. If you buy a knife kit from here for $25 still going to cost you $12.95 shipping.

I get my mosaic pins from Frank Jacobs
The pins are high quality and very good prices.
He ships most everything USPS Priority Mail so the shipping price is very good.

I buy most of my pin stock from USAKnifemaker. Can't recall their shipping rates but they all seem to be about the same range.
