I don't know where you got that Bert but it is an absolute stunner.

Re: UTICA !!!
Very fancy knife Mike. There was a HARPER MACINTIRE HARDWARE wholesaler in Ottumwa Iowa about 50 miles from where I live up to the 50's. I found one of their catalogs but it was not one of the old ones and the selection of knives was pretty basic.
Re: UTICA !!!
Here's a real nice old swell center jack that I am very happy to have. 3 13/16".
Half stops X 2. A real strong knife.

Re: UTICA !!!
That's a great knife and that pattern in a Utica is a hard one to find, nice going!!
Re: UTICA !!!
Great old knife Joe ... don't know much about Utica but that knife is great looking with that bone and what looks like a "triple" sabre edged master blade ... that is different and very cool .....

Re: UTICA !!!
Very nice, Joe. I love blades with a saber grind.
Beautiful knife, Mike. Great-looking bone and a nice etch.
This harness jack is the only Utica I have.

Thanks Dave.
Well, for only having one you sure got a good one. That's quite the knife pattern right there.

Re: UTICA !!!
Great knife Dave, in the catalog they call the pattern a SYRAIN and the pattern number is 421049. Great knife!!
Re: UTICA !!!
Thanks a lot, Mike! I'm really glad to know the pattern number and what it's called. That's a pretty unusual name Utica gave it too.

Mike has some great Uticas and that last one of yours Joe is a dandy. I too, love the bone on Mike's.
Like Joe said Dave .that is a killer pattern in very good shape.
Here's one of the several Utica farmers jacks I have ( I'd have to count, but at least 7 or more

Re: UTICA !!!
A Western States 2nd up from the bottom, old Jordan St Louis towards middle,Utica black composition ,and others which are part of the above post, I think, because I never labeled the entries.
I know of 3 or 4 more Utica's, at least, I have. They were a prolific maker,as noted with these various stamps . One or two marked ( the Cutsure- Kruse and Bahlmann Hardware ) by different companies have a U on the opposite side of the mark.
I also have seen a pattern of darker bone on the pile side of Utica's ,which I don't think you can attribute to sun bleaching.
