Coles NY Germany

Post by 313 Mike »

I picked up this knife with the COLES NY Germany marking on the tang at the Badger Knife show last week. Got it from an old Marine Corps Korean Vet, who didn't have much info on it or it's origins, except that he thought maybe Coles is the name of the importer that imported the knife from Germany...
I've seen a couple of other knives with this marking on ebay, but no other info on it except that someone posted here that Goins has them listed as being from circa 1969-1975.
Anyone else have any knives with this tang stamp, or any info to share about who made them?

Just saw one similar to this sell on ebay for $20 Different pattern and shield, but same tang stamp and same stag handles. The seller didn't seem to have any info on that one either though...
