Re: Books by Jim Sargent
IMHO the single best resource available for older (pre-1970) knives, especially Case, but also other brands. The photographs of various patterns are indispensable.

These books are some of the best resources that can be found for older Case knives. Also a lot of information and photos of Remington, Robeson, Queen, and other brands. Jim was a very dear friend of mine and he taught me much of what I know today during a friendship that lasted over 15 years. I miss spending all the hours with him in his shop and I miss the opportunities to handle literally thousands of pieces of antique cutlery and he always had time for questions. I use his books often. Thanks for sharing the photos of your books. They bring back lots of memories. Rick.

Rick, Jim was a friend of mine, I knew him from shows. I went to the National Show in Springfield Mo. he was always there. Latter I would see him at Tulsa. Alway there for the collectors. Would spend time with you and answer your questions. He gave me the first book that he did. Harold

Great collection ! looking for information on an older case Bradford knife . I think it may be on page 127 of Jim’s 7th edition but I only have the 2nd and 3rd editions ..If one of y’all could snap a photo of the page and post it for me for a reference point that would be fantastic . Thanks

I have and use his 2nd and 4th Editions often, for the reasons Ken stated above.
Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

Thank you for your response .the pearl knife is a beauty .! believe I posted the wrong page # .would you be so kind to post page 122 for me. I think my knife is a 6202 1/2 tad pole but I have not been able to confirm it with a good solid reference point .thanks again .

These pictures were blurry in the book. Second picture seems better. Harold
