Post by bluerush55 »

Case XX 366 sheath knife with original sheath. Stacked leather handles have wear
should I put some light oil on the handle..
Over all really nice knife and someone decided to put there initials MH in the sheath.
Yet I still bought it..

I like the 366 pattern hunters and this one looks to be in great condition!
If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.

Nice knife. To dress up the leather, rub a little natural shoe polish into the leather. Oil might stain it. ___Dave

Good advice. Oil will soften and swell stacked leather handles, according to advice I have been given by smart people. Wax is better.

Pure beeswax helps seal and protect. Warm leather with hair dryer and it will melt in. When I replace a leather handle I use beeswax as the final step.

That is a nice knife.
Stacked leather still my favorite handle material.
As others have said, I too use [Kiwi] natural shoe polish for leather sheaths. Handles sometimes too, if they really need help.
Sno-Seal has bees wax in it and works for me.I usually apply after the shoe polish.
I never met a Schrade I didn't like
