Thanks gents, appreciate the comments. Actually it's not mine, but I snapped some pics of it when I was doing some restoration work on it for the owner. But the thing was so beautiful I couldn't resist. Mammoth or Mastodon ivory too. Love this knife.
Great Bark River Checksix, looks great in the aloe. You're right and this basic design I've seen on lots of knives. Classic, beautiful, and popular. No wonder there are so many out there like it. Great shape, feel, look, and fit in your hand.

That AG Russell is one of the nicest knives i have seen for some time. It is not covered with bling and other fancy stuff, it is a simple design that oozes class.
Anyone would be proud to own that one.

I agree. Understated elegance. I am not averse to bling on some knives; that can be good, also, but I tend to gravitate toward simple beauty. Producer's stacked leather collection fits that model, also; very nice. ::tu::

I'm also in the camp of elegant, understated beauty. Cal, your Fisher knife is a great example of this. Gorgeous!

I won this Case Kodiak on the Bay this evening. The seller didn't specify but I believe it is a 1973-79. I think it must have been destiny for me to have it because as you can see my name is already on the box. :D

Very good looking classic USA knife; a significant find in the evolution of the 'American Hunting Knife'. And, it does have your name on it so you had to buy it. Completely understandable.
