Nice one! It is very reminiscent of a good ole Western Bowie. ::nod::

As a young boy, age 5 or 6, back in 1952 or '53, this is the first hunting knife I can ever remember seeing, on our kitchen table, belonged to one of my father's friends. I thought it was beautiful then, as I do now. These are destined to go to my grandsons & great-grandson, (may need a couple more yet.) Top one is Belknap Hardware / Bluegrass brand.
The rest are Kinfolks Y-330. The 2nd & 4th ones down appear kind of dark, they were apparently very rusted at one time & cleaned up on a belt sander :( . I smoothed them to 220 - 330, then did a Wayne Goddard 'mustard finish' on the blades. I refer to them as my 'Polish damascus'. I have never seen a "Case" marked knife like these, can anyone tell me if Case made these also?

I guess this is about as good a place as any to place this. You don't run across a part set very often.
I like it that the sheath even in as bad condition as it is was there. I like to take the decrepit one and have an exact replica made and then keep the old one with them. The three pieces will display nicely or make them more sale-able if I can't find the other or grow weary of looking. Sort of like hunting for a Jack-a-lope, you have a feeling they are out there but they never turn up.

Here is a nice little Wesky bird & trout I picked up a couple years ago.
Goins dates it 1946-1952. They were made in Sandusky Ohio.

Here is a nice Marbles Longhorn I picked up at the OKCA show this year.

This Western T39 was one I got at the OKCA show this year as well.

This knife was made by a friend of my dad named Glen Hoffman. Glenn was a millwright in a sawmill.
For those of you unfamiliar with the duties of a millwright, they are pretty much a jack of all trades which includes making metal parts, welding, heat treating and sometimes even forging metal. If a piece of equipment in a sawmill breaks, it's the millwrights that fixed it even if they have to make the part.

Hi

I just wanted to share photos of some of the Blind Horse knives that we have. They are great USA made semi-custom hand made knives that are made in eastern Ohio. They are fantastic knives made for hunting and outdoor use.

I like that turn-of-the-century knife a lot. I think I read something about the crucible steel by Bernard Levine, perhaps in his 4th edition. Very nice knife!

Bob,

Camillus made those for Sears & Roebuck, I have had several over the years, they take a good edge like all old Camillus knives do.
