Red Hill Cutlery Company

Post by philco »

Yesterday I took a little road trip and visited the new location for Red Hill Cutlery Company in Radcliff, Kentucky. They have a very nice showroom with tons of knives available for purchase. They also have an area set aside as a knife museum with numerous interesting (and hard to photograph) displays. The biggest feature of all is what they claim to be the worlds largest pocketknife which is part of their signage out front. All in all it was a very interesting visit and one I'd recommend to anyone in the vicinity.

Thanks for sharing your adventure Phil, looks like a great place to visit, man that is one big pocket knife.
I wonder if they would lend that knife to Big Tex at The State Fair of Texas this year, lol :D

That's my question, too. I could easily spend entire paychecks in such a place.

Wow Phil! That place is right up the road from me. I’ve been meaning to get up there someday, just never got around to it. Me and the boys are going to have to take a little road trip this summer!

But you forgot to show us what came home with you.

Thanks for posting that Phil. That’s some “pocket” knife! Need to put it on my bucket list. Seems these places like this along with Shepard Hills and SMKW are filling the void of all those mom and pop stores that used to sell cutlery.

Texoma, I recommend that pocket knife in Phil’s picture for Paul Bunyan. Big Tex already has this knife, on display in Bowie, TX. Unfortunately there’s no knife mega-store in Bowie along with it.

The sad truth is all the Canal Street knives they had were behind glass in the museum section and not available for sale. All I brought home with me were memories. I thought I'd better save my meager funds for the Blade Show next weekend. ::mdm::
