What are you referring to as being correct or not? It looks like the pen blade has lost a bit of length and the master blade has been sharpened considerably. Nice stag handles and bar shield. Are the handles intact and free of cracks? Looks like around 1900 or thereabouts.

The handles are all intact, I guess my question is about the first pic, not sure what you would call it ? Looks like the spring maybe? Where the metal wraps the bottom , the one on the left is considerably shorter then on the right. Is that normal? I just thought they should be the same .

The wrap around spring is fine . I would be more concerned about the amount of blade loss. There are much better examples out there.

Ok, thanks! That's what I needed to hear. I have a few others I'm looking at in better condition. That's why I thought I should ask about this one.
