My latest khukri knife

Post by Cookyboy1 »

Hi there.brought this khukri a week ago .it's not in the best condition .blades pitted and handle chipped .no scabbard. But this is no.6 in my collection and am pretty sure this is a Mk.1 khukri which would make it as old as 1904.Just would like someone who knows more than me to confirm it.If anyone can help I will send some measurement s .thanks

You have a fine and ineresting collection. Do you happen to know if any were carried during the Falkland's campaign?

I think if any were it would be the bottom horn handled one but ime not sure because some information about horn handled khukri with brass fittings are tourist knives but I feel that this one could be genuine .I think it's about the time of the Falklands. The top one is napaleese 1860-1880.working down -this one is a mk1 1904 -1915-the next 2are from about ww2-1940-1950. One slab handled with rivets and the other is a rat tailed khukri with the tang bured over at the butt cap.
