Nice big Lockwood Pampa with stag scales

Post by GerryD »

This a Lockwood “Real Pama Knife” that I recently acquired. As you can it’s a beast and measures 8 inches open and 4 inches closed. It Lockwood Brothers on the tang and that’s all no Sheffield or England. The bolsters and liners look like they are one piece and the scales are stag. The joint has a little play and the blade has light rust but other than those faults to me it’s fine.

Beautiful old pruner! Looks like it has one piece bolsters/liners. I have a Lockwood marked 58 Haymarket(probably where the shop was located)in relic condition.

Does it have a flush & square joint ? (tang even with bolster edges in closed and half stop positions)
Recently i have been looking at vintage Jos. Rodgers Hawkbill Pruners and they have flush & square joints.
