Tortoise and Pearl

Bought a knife lot in France to get a piece that I had to have. These two were in there as a bonus and they've been sitting on my desk the last month. I just removed the rust and figured I'd post a pic and see if anybody had a story on them.

I know the little one is real pearl. Not sure if the tortoise is genuine but I think it is. Knife has coined liners and a stamp that looks kind of like a mushroom with an X in the middle
