Henckels Jagdmesser

Post by ObsidianEdge »

I picked up this Henckels “Jagdmesser" (hunting) knife recently. The damascus ones are a little more rare and they are hard to find with a lot of the gold leaf still intact on the blade.

:shock: OMG what a knife! :shock: A similar (without the golf and damascus) was sold on the German Ebay a few weeks ago. I was determined to win it and bid high but to now avail - it went for a ridiculus price..... ::dang::

One day..... ::pray::

Thanks guys. Frank, I used to troll the German eBay site looking for Henckels. I have a knife collector friend over in Germany that swears most of the nicer Henckels stuff is here in the U.S. Do you have a link to the German auction?

Knife7knut: I had never seen one in person before either, but I have kept a jpg of one in my folder of knife photos for years. Can't even remember where I found it.

Your friend is right about that! Two wars were enough to put all the nice stuff to waste here.... ::shrug::
I haven´t saved the auction and can´t find it any longer - sorry....

Thanks doorman. Now if I can just find a "springer" in good shape.
