York-Dutch-Barlow Solingen

Post by Capt. Farrel »

Another find that came out of Solingen dark factory corners. I suppose this is again a slight reject but what the heck - yesterdays reject is tomorrows gem! The brand is "York-Dutch-Barlow" which may be a retailers brand. ::hmm:: Handles a real bone and bolster are carbon steel. Not bad for a mere eight Euros either.... :mrgreen:

Thank you guys! ::handshake::

@tendots: I suppose you´re right. The speyblade isn´t very common here in Germany so I think this Barlow was made for export and meant as a user too. ::hmm::

Have you ever seen a Richartz Solingen like this? I can't find any information about it. It doesn't look as nice as the other Solingens I've seen on here. ::hmm::

Those Richartz sports knives show up regularly in used or new condition on the German Ebay. As you´ve said there are more attractive knives than the little Richartz to find but I suppose it is made of quality steel nevertheless.
