A few days ago I had no idea that this cutlery business ever existed but it is surely an interesting piece of traditional German cutlery. Pius Lang´s cutlery was founded on the 24th. of December, 1852 and is still in business under the auspices of Gerald Lang in Stetten near Mühlheim/Donau. Lang seems to be famous for building pocket knives with about one hundred tools/blades! I would love to own one of these but I suspect they´ll cost you an arm and a leg......
I don´t know how old this hunting folder is but it was never used and I assume that it is new. There is a "P L" on the mark side and a "Rostfrei" (stainless) on the pile side.

Very nice looking knife.
First time I've heard of that maker.

Nice score Frank! I have heard the name before but didn't know they were the ones that made those exhibition folders. That one looks to be very well made;nice grinds and some really nice looking horn.Is the saw blade a double row of teeth?I notice it cuts on the pull stroke whereas most USA made knives I've seen with saw blades cut on a push stroke.

Thank you guys! Yes, it´s a well made knife with an unusual wide spring which works on both the blades and the saw. The saw is of the kind you know from a SAK, it´s a push/pull double row.
