Knives from everywhere...........

Post by knife7knut »

Going through some pictures and came across these.Didn't know where else to put them so they wound up here. Some are Chinese and Japanese and Javan and Phillipino and some I just don't know. The African daggers must have been made for pygmies as I can barely grasp the handles with three fingers. Two of the feature a skull crusher point on the pommel similar to a Case V-42. One of the barongs features a handle made from a goat horn decorated with small gold flowers.Another features inlaid mother of pearl pieces. The Phia -kaetta features inlaid silver scroll work on the sides and pommel and was made in the 17th century. So here they are in no particular order;hope you enjoy them.

The African daggers come from the region of the Sahara (Tuareg of the Niger) - always made today

Stan, so nice to see you ducking in to offer the benefit of your expertise. I hope you and yours are well.
