A friend in British Columbia, Canada of all places, messaged me the other day and said he'd come into possession of this and though it needed to come home. "Would I want it?" Well of course I did!
It's an un marked Congederate made Zouave bayonet. Shortly after the start of the War of Northern Agression, the Confederates began making copies of northern bayonets to use in captured weapons. Here's a link to one in not quite as good condition for sale and the accompaning documentation.
This thing's a beast! I'm honored and blessed to be its caretaker for a few years.
