Dreaming of a GEC #56

Hey guys. I'm on the hunt for a GEC #56. I've been pounding the internet pavement for a couple weeks now, but I'm not having a lot of luck. Maybe I'm just being picky, but there is a perticullar style I have in mind, and that's where I'm getting hung up. If anybodys seen a #56 with smooth ivory bone handles, or has one that they might consider selling, I would love to have a chat. Or if anybodys got any idea of where else I might try looking I would be greatful for the advice. I have seen a few 56's out there. Frontier bone and antique jig bone seem to be available, but there's just something about that smooth ivory bone thats got me hooked. Any advice is much appreciated.

Discount cutlery is what started this whole mess for me. I placed the order, order confirmed, even estimated date of shipment, The day i was hoping to get it in the mail, I got an email insted. "sorry, this item was out of stock before you placed the order", dang it. same thing happened At HRknives, which so far is the only other placed that has climed to have one. ::tear::
Were there really only 71 made?

Sorry Mike. Got all excited because I'd found one for you and now I'm bummed. What's worse, when I finish this post, I have to pay bills. :( :(

Those production totals came directly off the GEC website. Copy & paste.

Hard to find, Tell me about it! I feel like I've become obsesed with this knife. I've looked through every GEC distributor's site that I could think of about a dozen times each. Pretty foolish when you think of all the excellent knives out there. But it's too late, the blinders are on ::doh:: This knife has been given a very special purpose, so I'll keep looking.
Thank you so much for taking an intrest in my search. It's very humbling to know that there are people out there who are willing to help you without ever having met you.
