Miscellanious Videos That Don't Fit Anywhere Else

If you can think of something to talk about that is not related to knives, discuss it here.

Jerry, I watched this and then told Miss Joy, "You need to see what Jerry just posted!" She watched it with me and then said, "I've seen that one before, but it was worth seeing again."
That was like she said, worth watching again. ::tu:: Thanks Jerry.

Look a little closer Philip. It was Ken (Mumbleypeg) who posted that. All I did was fix it so it could be watched without going off the site.

No worries Philip. The video was pointed out to me by a friend. I take no credit. The kudos go to the brides father for his inspiration and humor. ::tu:: and to Jerry for the assist. Glad y'all enjoyed it. Someday I'm gonna figure out how to post a YouTube video myself. ::facepalm:: Jerry oughta post the instructions as a sticky up there with how to post pictures.

Ken, I can't do stickies. That's the purview of the Mods/Admins. Good God can you imagine the confusion if any old Tom, Dick or dumb-a.. could post a sticky? There would be so many post-it notes on the refrigerator you couldn't see it.

I think we need a separate how to forum in the Off Topic area. We could call it "Posting How-To's" or some such. A single thread doesn't cut it because then you would have to manually search through an 8 or 10 page thread to find what you're looking for and there would be no cohesive method of posting suggestions for making the procedure better. With a Forum of it's own, the individual threads would then be named as to what they are trying to accomplish. Does any of that make sense?

And yes, I'm aware we have a FAQ link displayed statically at the top of the page but it is inadequate. Not intended as a criticism, simply a statement of fact as I see it.

I know there has been some criticism and controversy over what is done to train horses to do this, but this is an interesting video of some beautiful horses.

Charlie,
A great story and well told. I always liked the Lone Ranger and was told once that no one ever got shot and died on his shows. His radio shows go way back, maybe into 1940s, certainly I heard them on my radio in the early 1950s. Not sure when the TV version kicked off or closed.

Their was 2 Lone Ranger actors. Clayton Moore and John Heart. We find an occasional re-run on TV and I have some tapes. Bob

"Aired on the ABC Television network from 1949 to 1957, with Clayton Moore in the starring role. Jay Silverheels, a member of the Mohawk tribe in Canada, played The Lone Ranger's American Indian companion Tonto. John Hart replaced Moore in the title role from 1952 to 1954, due to a contract dispute." (quote from Wikipedia)

The radio series began in 1933 and ran until 1954, with possibility that some re-runs may have been aired after that.
