I can't believe it's been over a year since anyone cut themselves. I'm going to have to take up the slack with this one. Was cutting pizza this past Sunday with this Victorinox Day Packer...........

When I went to put it away, I wiped the mung off the blade by drawing it through a napkin.................... and my finger. Have I mentioned that those suckers are razor sharp?

I'm afraid it is Joe, and below it too. Been too long. Can't remember what caused those.

I picked up a Schrade 167UH fillet knife the other day.
I was cleaning it up and I managed to poke it into the palm of my hand.
There is not much to see, an incision about a quarter inch long but it must've gone in close to half an inch.
It made me say "OUCH!"

For instant relief from stings: baking soda on a finger tip + a few drops of water then apply the resulting paste to the site of the sting. A wasp stung me on the nose one day. Hurt like hell until I got a little baking soda on it which immediately stopped all pain.

I've been lucky - no significant slice & dice to date, but will queque this thread for future use. For knife guys, getting bit is one of life's inevitabilities ... at least I now know that picture taking is a necessity.

Too late to see any blood on this one but believe me there was plenty. It is about 10 days old at this point. The little slip occurred at a club meeting to make it even worse. I have been messing with knives since I was a little shaver and this is my worst ever. Shoulda had stitches but what's another scar to an old fart like me.

I was sifting through my folders this morning, looking for a particular knife and pulling out one here and there to fondle. While closing the main of a Camillus 29, I forgot how long the clip blade really is. It's minor but a good reminder.

Nah, it'll heal. In fact as old as this post is, it probably already has. Let the doctor pay for his Mercedes with someone else's dime.

Shoot Boys! I didn't know we could post "after the fact". Here's one that's a couple of weeks old that bled like a stuck pig and I didn't think about filming the gory details. :) My modified 6275, the one with the clip turned wharncliffe did the deed, me bein' carless as usual. ::shrug:: Workin' with the raised beds in the garden and was modifying a bad place in my cutoff britches leg and there was blood dripping down my leg when I noticed my left index finger, not real deep but it caught something just right.

Jerry, I took my dirty blue bandana and wrapped it and after an hour or so Miss Joy kissed it and made it well, after we finished unloading the 3 loader scoops of mushroom compost/pine bark that was in the truck! :) (I may be old but malingerer was never part of my MOS)

Although I would have called you a malingerer if I had thought of it but it would have been all in good fun. Kinda like going so far beyond the limits of good taste that no one will believe it's true.
