Morning gents, thanks for the coffee. Had a productive day yesterday, dropped the axle on my boat trailer and replaced it with a new one and new hubs - got er back in action. Today is a cooking day for me for the opening of baseball season (my daughters league) and a I've got a MP battalion reunion to attend tonight - already tired from the sound of it all! You guys have a great Saturday. OH

In the 70s yesterday must have made me tired. Laid down for a nap after lunch and got woke up by the phone when Her Majesty called on her way home from work. Sleep last night was a little fitful. Nothing going on today. Just sitting around waiting for a knife to be delivered.

Goodmorning. Just saw that on this date in 1911 the Triangle Shirtwaste factory fire took place in New York. 145 workers died, almost entirely women and girls. I recall reading about this as a kid in American Heritage magazine which, amazingly, arrived with a hard cover binding.

Will spend today inspecting my knives, lubricating where needed. Have a fine weekend.

We had some gully washer rain and some hale overnight.
Got some good coffee to try and blink two eyes clear.
No new knives or watches. Don't rightly know of any blades that need work.
Probably ain't gonna be a whole lot shaking here in East Texas.

Mornin', Fellers!
That rain that JPDave mentioned is headin' east according to the weather radar, it is a narrow north to south front splitting Mississsippi at this time and ought to be in the FL. panhandle late afternoon.
Speakin' of axles Bruce, here's a picture of an axle I warped last week. It's off the left rear section of a disk harrow. I got it straightened at the local vocational school welding shop.
Y'all have a great Saturday!

We always called 'em, "disk axles". The IH dealer calls them "arbor bolts".

Mornin' Gents,
Flew back from Calif yesterday and got home last night. I'm really starting to loathe air travel. I get to do it all over again next week. Yippee! My two dogs were happy to see me and that was worth getting home for.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Good morning guys. I'm back. Aw nuts, you didn't even miss me. Friday our computer was out and sat. I was at the Badger show destroying the budget with knife purchases. I slept like a log last night after about 15 hours of riding in a car over the two days and not being able to sleep much in the hotel. Coffee's on and church is in a couple hours. Have a great day. I have a dozen knives to keep me busy all afternoon. ____Dave

Mornin' fellas.

Scored a junk pile of fishing lures yesterday. Anyone restore old wood fishing lures?

Mornin' fellers. Scott, maybe old lures are like old knives, better off not restoring. Who knows. I sure have a couple of old tackle boxes sorta full of them.
It is 65º here already and I think it will be near 90º later today.
Gotta finish getting ready for meetin'. Hope you all have a good day. ::tu::

Mornin' Dave and Scott.
I saw that wad of knives you ended up with Dave, mighty interesting! That's a long time to be ridin' in the vehicle.
Scott, as you know the old wooden plugs are a quite a big deal, I'm surprised at times how much they bring at times. I've got a bunch in a wooden tackle box that belonged to my dad who's has been gone over 37 years. They used to catch bass and now I hesitate to use them for fear of losing them and on the other hand I don't collect old fishing tackle.
The rain finally came through early this am, around 2, not much to it, still chances according to the weather people.
Got to get started wigglin' around or we'll be late for church, see y'all there :) .

The paint is gunged, wood shows thru.....no, these need to be stripped down to bare wood and repainted.

Morning all, sipping on a good cup of Dunkin Donuts waiting for Mrs. Bestgear to arise from her beauty sleep so we can get on with the mission of the day. Probably more binge-watching roundball today while coon fingering some knives and then back to the salt mines in the morning God willing. Hope everyone has a safe and productive day. Peace

Good Morning to all. Finally got some of the long predicted rain. Tried a newer restaurant in town yesterday. Not a success. Stay safe and dry.
