Middle Aged Lifelong Southeast Texan

Post by Metalhead »

It is good to see so many good folks enabling each other who share this knifaholic sickness. Like most of you, I have had a knife in my pocket for longer than I can remember - even through my earliest school years, and I am still enamored with all things sharp and pointy. I like German steel, but I like my Cases, Bucks, and other old American stuff too - kind of like blondes vs redheads vs brunettes, I like em all. I look forward to learning from you and seeing your collections and accumulations. JB

Edited to show what came in the mail the other day; Boker washboard bone stockman - Christmas present to myself. I'm forcing myself to use it because she is too pretty to hide in the box. No matter what I do the pic appears upside down.

Welcome here JB, from another Texan. I've got kinfolks in SE Texas (Lufkin area). Boker still makes a great knife, and that 74 pattern stockman is just the right size. ::tu:: I've got one in stag.

ALOHA, Metalhead...always nice to have some fresh blood in the mix. Please don't be shy about posting up photos of your knives...many of us here (myself included) are just as addicted to "knife porn" as we are to the real thing...can't ever seem to get enough.

Here's my only knife that has any type of a "Texas" connotation (Rio Grande!)
