I'm going to pass. Maybe wait for the Beloit show this fall. Enjoy and say "Hey" to Keith (Ozzie Marie) for me.

Man! I'm sure that would be great Dale! But I honestly cannot squeeze that in. Too much going on with work. Maybe when I retire?

Sorry Phil, I did not take any pics at the show...but had a great time and got to do some really thorough browsing, I still feel slightly hunched! Visited with Keith for a bit as well.
Ken Daniels owner of Queen was there with a very impressive display of Queen products...very nice man, easy to talk to and obviously very knowledgeable about knives...encouraged everyone to pick up and handle the knives, and he gave me a great deal on this pair...a Schat & Morgan Keystone series #69 Barlow in 1095 and Winterbottom bone, which he said was made with some of the original Winterbottom bone from the 40's and '50's......and a Workhorse series carbon bladed equal end wharnie in imitation winterbottom.
Great f&f on them both, and both shave hairs easily.
They will be extra special since I purchased them both directly from Ken Daniels after sealing the deal with a handshake.

Two of us drove down from Duluth Friday morning and shopped until we were pretty well broke and then drove home Sat morning. I'm plumb worn out but very happy with my treasures. I have one blurry picture so far and will take some more for Knife Finds of the Day. I saw Kieth this morning but didn't hook up with any other AAPK guys. I picked up some awefully nice stuff including an IXL stag lockback hunter, a Washington Cutlery stag jack that the dealer bought from Mark Zeleski, and a Gorgeous bone Lakeside Cattle among others. Can't wait for the next Badger show.____Dave

Here's the only one I took...upon arrival....right outside the main entrance. I was hesitant to even post it since it shows basically nothing except a sign. But hey, it is a pic anyway......sorry for the lameness.... ::facepalm::

Ozzie Marie was busy snapping photos. I'm sure he'll post a few. I forgot my camera and remembered it about 5 hours into the trip. I wasn't going back. I did post a picture of the knives I purchased, and they were much better looking that a bunch of us crusty old knife collectors. I'm still a little focused on the one that got away. A dealer had a Holley Wharncliff ebony whittler that was looking at. His table partner showed it to me but the owner was off wandering around. I kind of assumed it was beyond my price range because of it's rarity and condition. I looked around other tables while waiting for the dealer to come back and apparently someone else was too because it was gone quick. It sold for $150. A lot of money but a steal for that knife. I sure am pleased with what I took home. this is a great show to buy knives at.___Dave

I talked to Keith and he told me his camera messed up and all his pictures came out very blurred, not worth posting. :o

Phil, if he's talking about the picture he took of me, with my scruffy beard I always look blurry. I forgot my camera but the only one I saw that I knew from AAPK was Kieth.___Dave
