Is that the same as The Year Knife, to which they added a new blade every year?

No Charlie;this one was made for the Crystal Palace Exhibition. The so-called "year knife" has MANY more blades. If I recall correctly they stopped adding blades when the number reached 1,922. I have a pic of it somewhere in my computer(that is on it's wasy to Ohio).RobesonsRme.com wrote:Is that the same as The Year Knife, to which they added a new blade every year?

An interesting story about that knife:They employed a person to open each blade, wipe it down and oil it,and then close it.The process took almost two weeks to accomplish and then the started the process all over again!

Was there a knife similar to this at the National Knife Museum at SMKW? Or I'm I "misremembering". Maybe it was just a picture of it?
