A lot of work went into making that little four blade. An intricate knife to manufacture. Very nice looking old Winchester there!

That is a sweet little knife. Are all the blades marked, or just the master blade? I have the exact same pattern with tip bolsters instead of regular bolsters. on my knife only the main blade is tang stamped. I thought on old Winchesters all the blades were marked. My knife has a pattern number 4941. Mark.

Wayne, just the master blade stamped, on the back is 4940. What year would you say they are?

That's a beautiful knife. I love the workmanship, especially the small easy open scallops. ::tu::

Here is a picture of my Winchester. Its really a parts knife, as some one burnt a hole in the blade. looks like a electric ark burnt it. And the bone is broke on one side. If you are going to do any work on yours, and need a blade or whatever you can have this one. Mark. PS. that is a original Winchester knife opener pictured next to it. Not a reproduction.

Thanks for showing your knife Mark, it looks way better then a parts knife as far as my knife I'm just going to leave it how it is. I might try to clean the tang stamp up a little and I will put some oil in the joints and some mineral oil on the skins.
