The 52 pattern, two blade, Now that is my knife...

Post by TinyDee »

Some time ago I started to enjoy the Case 62052 which has become my favorite knife for sure. Sometimes called the half congress the 52 pattern is known for the four blade even more. But the two blade sometimes called the half congress is such a fine little knife. Anyone share this thought?

Yeah the 052 congress is one of my top favorite Case patterns (the older ones anyway). The two blade is nice due to its slim construction.

It is a fine pattern for sure. Slim, functional and good looking. What is not to love about a knife like that that also sports nickel silver liners and pins too.

I do also EDC a TESTED 63052 Splitback Whittler that I just love. I only have about a dozen Congress, mixed 052, 69 and 88 patterns. Honestly, not my favorite pattern to collect personally or I would have more. They may become part of the herd thinning, we'll see.

I have these two 052 examples. Uncleaned and near mint 10 dot and XX. Fine knives in my opinion. And a pic of my splitback that I carry.

Regards, Jerry
