I see an Ivory Micarta Stockman on e-Bay that supposedly rare and made in U.S.A. by Buck with a special limited run of BG-42 blades.
I never see pocketknives with BG-42 steel and I'm wondering if this is legit or some kind of scam.
Anyone know if it's the real thing?

Can you post a link to the ebay listing ? That would go a long way toward someone here being able to help you.

The 301 BG-42 knives were a special run of 100 knives for BCC, Buck Collectors Club, members. Original price was $92.

That's too bad. I gave up on Buck years ago, after an experience that left me convinced they'd turned their customer service department over to a bunch of kindergartners, supervised by clowns and comedians. Being able to get a working knife with good steel again might be enough to convince me to give them another try.btrwtr wrote:The 301 BG-42 knives were a special run of 100 knives for BCC, Buck Collectors Club, members.
