Case Knife

Post by redferd »

Many years ago my cousin gave me this Case pocket knife. The tip of the large blade was broken off so I honed a new tip on it. The small blade was in good condition. Made from steel that will rust. The large blade has nine dots below the word Case and on the opposite side it has these numbers: 6231 1/2 . The large blade has a nick in it. Someone must have used it as a prybar? I don't know how old it is? The handles look like jigged bone? I took these pictures with my scanner.

Nice old Case jack knife - made in 1971 - you did a nice job re-profiling that clip blade - guess the notch could be used as a wire stripper. OH
Deep in the guts of most men is buried the involuntary response to the hunter's horn, a prickle of the nape hairs, an acceleration of the pulse, an atavistic memory of his fathers, who killed first with stone, and then with club...Robert Ruark
