Believe me Tim, I was working fast! My daughter Sofia was standing behind me when I took that pic and she was thinking the same thing, "Daddy, what would you do if that pretty knife fell all the way down into the trees?" ::facepalm:: ....I told her I might have to jump over and try to save it Superman style!

Snapped this pic a minute ago for my Harvest Time Knives thread...thought I would drop it in here too. I love bright orange habaneros...an indicator of the fire within...

Hey mike, my Dad,( God rest his soul) use to grow some crazy hot peppers in his garden when I was a kid. It was a big deal at dinner time when Dad would challenge his three boys to a pepper eating contest. One bite was all that was required but my God the damage that one small bite would do. Dad could eat a whole pepper and never flinch. Good times!
Great little knife by the way! ::tu::

Thanks Scott!
Rocky, that is a cool story about your Dad...funny how different people have different tolerances to the heat of chile peppers. I have found though that you can build up a tolerance over time if you work at it. Working in kitchens my whole life with a lot of Mexicans, I can take the heat pretty well myself...although I have never been one to enjoy just taking down a whole habanero straight! But I love incorporating the hot stuff into my food and sauces...just not a fan of "bland" food at all.

I know what you mean Mike, I prefer spicy or we'll flavored foods but my wife and middle child, bland all the way not even a little salt and pepper? Go figure. ::doh::

Nice knife Scott. It looks just like a Schrade USA X-Timer that I have, very stout and reliable.

Here's a pic I snapped this evening of my Yellow Rose #66 Jack with the first ripe Golden Boy tomato of the year!
