Time to switch to Tinypic.com unless you just use the AAPK site to load pics. That's what I do.

Super find on that blade etch, singin' Nicest cell Imperial I have ever seen
How on earth did it survive in that condition???
Nice pick Paul! That's an unusual one, having the shield with the Hammer stamp!

Cool little Hammer Gino! Hey Mark, the "X" sleeve refers to the back of the shirt sleeve on the arm of this stamp.

Here is a few of mine. The top one is not a hammer. I really dont know anything about it. One blade says X L inside a triangle Cutlery. Japan on the other blade. Not real old but I know I have had it for over 25 years. My favorite has always been the silver hammer.
Re: Post Your "Hammer Brand" Knifes !!!

Great Hammer Brand knife.
New York Knife Co started using the Hammer Brand mark around 1882 and went out of business in around 1930.
Imperial bought the name and probably built more knives with this mark than New York Knife ever did.

Thought I'd try to revive this Hammer Brand thread and encourage everyone to show some more! Here's my most recent pick up, I posted it in the knife finds section, but thought I'd drop it in here too, dates from '45-'55
And here's a couple of Hammer Brand jacks, the "cracked ice" dates from '38-'41 and the black one dates from '45-'55..
...and this purty little number here dates from '38-'41 also

Great lookin' display Singin', very cool!
rigwelder: love those oldies, those are some classics for sure. Those two must have been made by New York Knife Co and not Imperial I'm assuming...?
