These showed up in Saturday's mail. The Colonial Barlow has some patina. I am really impressed with this 3 1/4 inch trapper from RR. Setting aside the indifferent jigging, in all other ways it is a little gem. Excellent walk and talk, half stops, bank vault solidity.

Ray, I see at least 2 Case knives in the 1st picture and looks like you could outfit a survey crew from the 2nd picture :) . That is quite a pile!

Got these three today.

A Camillus Pilots Survival Knife (6" blade, 1959-61) - Got it from our own TripleF ( Thanks Scott ::tu:: ...... and thanks for the extras.)
A Queen #11 Utility with Winterbottom Bone Handles. Has some blade wear but it's still a good old honest knife.
A Case 6292 Texas Jack made in 1977. Nice Bone Handles and the blades are quite full. I had one of these and sold it last year. The pen blade was a nail breaker to open so it didn't get much pocket time. This one is A-OK. ::nod::

Paul,
Without digging it out, I believe it is a 6275. I think the long spey makes it a 'J' blade doesn't it? It has had some use.

It's nothing special or uncommon, but for some reason I had never got an 897uh. My dad even has one and he's not a knife collector!

Harley, you've been using my bar name - Joe Schmedlap! Nice haul of cool stuff.

Paul, good little knife, nearly identical to a 18 pattern Case - I like both brands and keep some of each around for EDC use.

My Congress Jack (aka Speaker Jack in GEC parlance) came today - it was shipped at 1:07 pm on Saturday the 25th from Washington State and arrived in my mailbox in eastern NC today at 1:17 pm - that's 48 hours from the PNW to Coastal NC - the the USPS is on their game they are really, really on their game! Nice knife, scratches an itch I've been having for three years. OH

Bruce your speaker jack is beautiful, looks like they payed homage to schrade with that jigging. I'm pretty excited to get mine now.

::tear:: Jeez, CK seems to be a bit behind on this. I hope that doesn't mean they're getting the scraps of the stock. I've got two sure things on the new #13s and I'm really hoping I get some good'uns.

That Speaker Jack is a beaut, hoping mine is every bit as nice...if it ever shows up at the dealer! ::disgust::

Here is a beautiful 3 1/4" Senator Pen knife, marked "Robeson/Master Craft/U.S.A." and "1 of 200 " with warm rich ivory handles.
Back side of master tang has "Queen CutCo/Titusville, PA".
This is the second ivory handled Queen made "Robeson" folding knife that i have. Queen does not always get everything 'right on' with their folding knives but these ivory Robesons are 'right on'.

Wow, you guys really have scored some nice knives over the last few days! Congrats! ::tu::

I finally received my E C Simmons Keen Kutter today and boy am I happy! ::super_happy::

Won it at a Swedish online auction and have waited for a week for it but the wait was worth it. It has a few flaws but for a working knife it´s really really good, in my book at least. No real play in any of the blades and handles show just a little wear, no real out-gassing damages, just discoloration. Snap is great!!

The blue psychedelic blue is almost mesmerizing in the right light and it´s just so tactile and cool!

Enough talk, here are a few pics:

As a contrast to this vintage US knife I also received a British made oddity, a Joseph Rodgers folding can opener slash knife. Patent 904434. I love novelty items and when this showed up at the same auction site I just had to have it. I like metal handle knives and have a few British made ones and this was just too cool to pass up on for a few dollars.

It has been used and are still for sale on their website and was "invented" back in the 60´s. I attach a link to a page where you can see the original patent application with blueprint and all. There is also a similar model with a "screwdriver" blade as you can see on the blueprint. It has a blade on the section between the joint and the can opener.

You can be the judges and let me know it was any improvement to previous can openers? ::hmm::

Does the end of the box say 8ot or 8ot rb?
Box is ink stamped 8OT RB.
I have one also, with the same box. I don't have a pic of the box for some reason, but it is in the pile.
