BE CAREFULL! DO NOT POST ON-LINE COMMENTS ABOUT TRIPS,ETC

Post by roger007 »

Hello,
I just wanted to point out to fellow knife collectors a possible security and safety issue when posting on-line comments, here or anywhere, EBAY, Facebook, etc.
There are many crooks just churning the Web looking for these on-line comments regarding vacation plans, work trips, etc. Just a casual comment on-line basically is left for all to see, and can grab the attention of a thief.
Just a hopeful & helpful reminder, as sometimes its easy to forget that what is typed on here can be read by others in whom we wouldn't dare give out our personal travel plans & times - leaving our possessions, and worse, even our families, at risk.

EDIT: I also want to point out that you can go back and edit your posts & comments to remove anything that might warrant a potential risk.

Can we post false information from time to time; then sit and wait with our sawed off ??

Just to set the record straight, I am a poor slob with a short fuse. I live in a double wide with a loaded handgun in each room. I never go on vacations. And did I mention that I have a German Shepard named Killer!

Three days a week I sit in the dark with a loaded AR after moving my car away from the house....wanna guess which three days? Or at least I did till the tragic boating accident when I lost all my firearms.

Seriously this is a good warning from the OP.

That's what insurance is for, so you can
go about your life w/o worrying about who wants 'your stuff'.

That's why you should have the wife & kids take firearm safety
course and practisize plinking while issuing the recommended warnings.
Ya know, BOOM! 'stop!' BOOM! 'or I'll shoo..' BOOM! BOOM!

That's how come you send your German Shepherd named Daisy
to Obedience & Killer Training School.
That way she knows not only the exact location of carotid
arteries they also teach her how to fetch more ammo.

If no one is home while you're gone, just mount some of those
small cameras so you can check on things from far away with
your Ipod.

Anyone seen prowling around, type in the phone number that
rings the phone wired to the locker filled with TNT.
A bit extreme some may say, but it is based on the age olde principle of:
"If I can't have it, nobody will".

Please check local, state & federal law since only certain types
of footlockers are allowed for home detonation systems.
Least that's what the article not in the Feb.30, 2009
'Business & Leisure Travel' magazine says.

hope this helps. 8)

Yeah it really bothers me when I see my friends and family posting all of their upcoming plans on Facebook. Plus they put pictures up of their kids which I WILL NOT do. Most peope have privacy settings set on "friends of friends" where anybody that is a friend of your friend can see what you post. They don't know everyone that can read what they write or see the pictures they post, but they will proudly announce that they are stuck in traffic and sipping their coffee 20 miles from home and their 11 year old daughter is walking home by herself. People really need to step back sometimes and evaluate what they are putting online. They tell their children not to talk to strangers but the strangers already have the kid's picture, name, pet's name, etc.

Attention all Facebook friends! I will be leaving for a whole week starting this Saturday. My 18 year old sister-in-law will be here alone with my 6 year old daughter. Do not pay attention to my truck in the driveway, I rented a car. I will not be sitting in my living room waiting to see if any of you have less-than-trustworthy friends that are going to try to take advantage of my announced absence. I will not have several firearms at my immediate disposal to defend myself and my home from the above-mentioned losers. Ok guys, have a great week. And remember, I will be watching. I mean, I WON'T be watching. Please feel free to share my plans with anyone and everyone you see fit, because I trust everyone on the internet.

To all potential scum bags wondering around my neighborhood...

I have the firearms and a couple good sized dogs, all the stuff others have mentioned here. But the thing you need to worry about most is my wife... she is the reason I have all the survival stuff... Gang of bikers, I ain't worried, Columbian drug lord no sweat... My wife on the other hand...
