Wow. That Copperlock looks great with that red bone. That clip blade is just about perfect. I had a mini Copperlock but my son "liberated" it from me.
Guess I'm gonna look for one like yours. Too nice not to own.
I have to ask.....what do they call the acrylic handles on that Russlock?

Thanks. I think the copperlock is a beautiful knife in every way, you should definitely get one. The walk & talk is simply perfect for a lockback. The russlock handles are called patriot kirinite. They look very nice, they have a bit of a sparkle effect to them. It reminds me of the wild colored cell handles of the 20's and 30's, but these won't gas :D

I love a gunstock frame. That's the best part of that knife for me (that and the color/shadow pattern).
bdev wrote:Bensonhurst for me.....how far upstate?
Catskills, probably. I had designs on my grandfather's old ranch near Liberty but with real estate the way it's been that quickly grew out of reach. Playing catch-up but I may need to settle for something smaller. ::shrug:: The well water in that area is legendary, to this day the best I've ever had, and straight out of a tap at the perfect temperature. It's part of the watershed that makes NYC water famous.

Carried a 2-spring Imperial Kamp-King that took a crazy sharp edge along with a way underutilized Schrade 206 today. It's rare that my OHO fits the watch pocket but so it is with this Micro-Recon. The two black knives set side-by-side are only a millimeter or so thicker than the Barlow.

It does not, it's flat on both sides with a "lanyard" hole which a keyring had been threaded into. I removed that and carried it on a small ball-chain on my keyring for some years, but I swapped it out for a Vic Classic SD (alox) some time back and it's been mostly sitting among my other modern folders.

Blade is surprisingly sharp, it will bite if you aren't careful. Makes a hell of a box opener and backup utility knife.

Oh I agree, i very much like green. I said that because the green mini recons are a very bright "toxic" green. At least some of the older ones were.

I call that Zombie Green, and for the most part when I see "tacti-cool" stuff with splashes of that color (or any "zombie" reference whatsoever) I move on. Basic black is fine for me in that department.

I have the same rule about "zombie" stuff for ammo, too. Lookin' at you, Hornady...

Thanks, Ken. I really like the blade too. Not only does it look good, but it's super sharp. :)
Do you not like gunstocks or is it the handle material? Either way, for shame. jk  I've always liked gunstocks and the handle is a vintage Westinghouse recipe (my lousy picture doesn't do it justice). Westinghouse called it "turquoise glass weave micarta" or something along those lines. They called it micarta, but it's basically G-10.

I think it's the lack of bolsters that leaves me wanting.
