That's good to know neighbor.I bought that thing from a ole man several years ago for $150 with a box and a over half another box of shells. He said it had been shot 5 or 6 times. It's got some handling marks and stuff but it's right sweet ole piece. I probably knew that about Sears but had forgotten. I remember they sold J C Higgins back in the day along with the popular brands. ::nod::

We have a Marlin 30-30 my father bought in Sears in 1968. My son has it now. Think it was marked as a 336C. I'll ask him and get some pics.
Great rifle. Fond memories. Side ejection= no hot shells on your head too!
Oh yeah by the way carrying this and this today.

Going to take my wife boat riding (probably no fishing) on the Tar River later today; Case 6318 while on land and a Buck Crosslock in a belt sheath while on the water. OH

If you tried to go "boat riding" around here today, you would freeze your asstridus off. Maybe you could get a couple of snaps of you and the spousal unit enjoying what we here in the Midwest are still looking forward to. Post 'em over in the Outdoor thread and make all us landlocked lubbers jealous.

Biggie 'H', what's the model of the red handled Buck at the bottom of the picture? I like the handles on it.

Oops. I had my head in a dark and smelly place. I saw the anvil and immediately headed off to Buck land. Thank you for reminding me and heading me down the right track. I think I'm going to start a search for one of those.

I may have posted a pic of the Schrade Stainless. I fixed the main blade to look like it should. This knife whispers through paper.

Right now the only knife on me is clipped to my sweats, a small plain Jane Sebenza 21 has been constantly by my side since day 1 about 4 years ago.

Yes I did. It holds it just enough so if I turn it upside down, it won't fall out. But, it is not too hard to pull it out for use.
Here is the one for the PM2

This is going to be my trio combo for work this week. Gonna give the Cold Steel stockman a break and put this recently acquired 886UH to use. It needed some TLC to get it ready. The clip blade was bent and wavy. Someone used it like a pry bar and rocked it back and forth. Which also loosen the slip joint. Got that straighten mostly, and tighten up the joint. Cleaned some surface rust off the springs and put a polished edge on all the blades. Thing is ready to slice n dice!

Great looking edge there gwelker! I enjoy the contrast of a mirror edge on a duller finished or patinaed blade.

Not much going on today, was going to help my uncle do stuff on his property but he's taking the day off. (and he should! a very hard working man). So at any rate this is all I got.

Yes sir, you and me both. This 25OT's edge almost looks like it's fluorescent against that classic Old Timer patina.
