Anyone carry a Boker "Fellow"?
Anyone carried a Boker "Fellow" for any length of time? It's a model 1000, single blade lockback.
I just ordered one from BokerUSA website at a closeout. I like the classic lines, but I am afraid it may be just a wee bit bigger than what I like to carry. If I like it I'm gonna get one in red jigged bone also.

Re: Anyone carry a Boker "Fellow"?
Just got mine in today. I was worried about it being too big to carry at 4 1/4". I usually won't carry a knife in my pocket bigger than 3 3/8". Just too uncomfortable. I put this one in my pocket to see how it felt - got interrupted by a phone call. About an hour later I wanted to take some photos of my new knife and I couldn't find it. Finally found it right where I left it. In my right front pocket. I guess that answers my question about can I carry it around comfortably. It is long, but thin. Only 5/16" thick. I guess that's why it's so comfy. Beautiful charcoal gray smooth bone. Guess I'll carry it around for a while...
Re: Anyone carry a Boker "Fellow"?
rangerbluedog thanks for you story and showing your knife.
That one could go with you to a good steakhouse.
I have seen and do it my self now some times.
Take a thin knife like that one with me to cut my steak. Needs to be at lest 4" long.

Good idea Ken!
Most of the knives at my local steakhouse are a bit dull - or maybe the steak's just tough...

Not to mess up this Boker tread but,..
Here is a set I have taken to steakhouses on special nights with my wifey. She has no intrest in my knives at all. BUT she sure did like useing those knives. In fact she looks forward to useing them more.
(could it be the knives or just going to a high class steakhouse???)
We do get a lot of atention when I open them at the table...

Re: Anyone carry a Boker "Fellow"?
I'm suddenly quite stricken by this pattern if no one has yet noticed. I picked up two of these so I'm gonna sell one of them. This is a Boker LTD from 1984. they called this one "Old Tom". I call it a good looking 1000 pattern lockback.
