K:MEWAX:IT been looking for a good older 6318 , does everything look good on this one to you ? i thoght the older 60,s ones had more red in the handles than this one, can kinda see the rivit in one of the pics in the bolster, didn tkno wif that men tit had been messed with ? any way whats your opinioun, thanks, james....:)

The knife you're looking at was made in 1979. Looks good not messed with. Hope this helps.

Knife looks OK, I could not see tang well enough to know Date for sure.

in the ad he is saying 1960,s ? was there a dot on the blade ?

Looks to me there is 1 dot; making it a 1979. There is no red color in the handles; it is jigged brown bone. It's pushing the book price now; ::paranoid:: according to Parker's knife guide for a 1979. Parker list the USA (65-69) 6318 HP at $110; I don't know where the seller is getting his value $150 to $250 from. :roll: IMHO I would doubt he will reach $70 on it.
