Schrade IXL Wostenholm Canoe - Beautiful Stag!

I just acquired this Schrade IXL Wostenholm Canoe. The stag on this knife is just beautiful. Just wanted to show it off. Nothing expensive or rare, just nice.

That is a nice looking knife. US-based Imperial knife co owned Rodgers-Wostenholm from 1977-1982. From the faux hallmarks on the bolster, your knife was made in 1981. s-k

Wostenholm was bought by Rodgers in 1971, Richards in 1975, and the Imperial Knife co in 1977. . This American-UK joint venture went bankrupt in 1983. Thus, Schrade-Wostenholm knives were made 1977 to about 1982.

As pointed out by smiling-knife, this one was made in 1981. The canoe was one of five models produced.

I don't know what they sell for. I think he is a bit proud of them.

I would think that $275 would be most appropriate for that full set. I only paid $45 for the stag canoe. I am also going to speculate that they made more than 2000 sets, as my canoe has the serial #01941. But then again, it would be nice to have the matching set with the display case.

Yeah....the guy also has a couple Gerbers for sale..At his prices I'm afraid he's going to keep them.
