Schrade Walden 825 stainless
I just picked up this Schrade Walden 825 and this knife was covered with green corrosion and needed a good clean up. I just wanted to take the time and thank all the members that took the time to post clean up ideas and the proper items to use during knife cleaning. The knife was picked up from an estate sale and appears in great condition after the clean up. It appears to never been used. It was just not properly cared for or stored properly. Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe this Schrade Walden 825 was produced in the early 60's. I have some other 825's but the bolsters do not have the wrap around line like this one and of coarse are not marked Walden. Also, I forgot to take the before picture!..... but here is the finish work. She's a beauty.

Also, I forgot to mention that I have never seen a 825 with the Pat. Pending on the main blade. Rare knife?

Redbone, those are threaded bolsters (the groove). Your knife looks terrific, nice cleaning job! OH

Hello Redbone, that is a great looking knife you have there...kudos on the cleanup! I recently purchased an estate collection that has a 825RB in it as well and thought I would share.

Hey thanks. That's a fine looking RB you have .

Redbone, great looking knife! That Patent Pend. referred to the sharpening process for the razor blade stainless blades. I think I may have that patent here somewhere, I'll see if I can find it to help date the knife.
