tommygg101 fake Tested trapper

Post by btrwtr »

Here we go again. Started at just $1.99 like he does all his counterfeit knives.

The unlucky buyer will have 30 days to figure out they have purchased a counterfeit knife.

His loyal followers are lining up so they "dont"t loose out". Any guesses as to how high this beauty will go? Currently $380. I have noticed that most of his fake knives will sell at about 1/3 of what a real knife of the same type and condition will sell. That's where the true bargain comes in.

Both blades with a Tested stamp? I've never seen this on a Tested trapper. Center rivet is peened not spun. 1960's style shield. Fat and new stag handles (see pic of back handle at rear bolster).

He is slipping a bit on his listings. Those pics are way to clear for a tommygg101 listing. Somebody is liable to figure him out!

I'd say a good rule of thumb for Tested era and Case/XX era knives is, "The fatter the stag, the faker the knife"

Where is Myrtlefaye when you need him. The sad part is the people who are bidding on this knife. ebay should have a counterfeit watch where if 10 people clicked that the knife was counterfeit the buyers could be notified to take a closer look.
Thanks, DC

There are others here better equipped to answer this but the knife would easily bring 4 figures from serious and knowledgeable collectors.
