MESSY CATT STAMPING.

Post by cattaraugus57 »

What do you'all think of this Cattaraugus stamping?
My eyes are bad but..overall the knife looks ok..but the stamping is a mess. ::shrug::.Looks like the Tang has been ground.
I suppose that didn't help the Stamping eh?

Yeah looks like it was clamped at the tang perhaps to clean up the blade. ::shrug::

Looks ragged out, not unheard of. The rest of the knife is nice

The stamp looks fine to me. A lot of the old WRCase Stamos were ragged. Most counterfeit Stamos look really new and have other features that are not good. Not a Catt guy but the knife looks good to me.

I think the stamp is fine. Just a case where the company tried to extend the life of the punch too long. Saved a few pennies but sacrificed quality in the process. The rest of the knife looks O.K.
