Jigged Bone Empire Lockback

Here's one that looks a little suspect to me. Check the kick on it compared to the ebony lockback and tell me what you think.

At 1st glance that knife looks ok in my opinion. The kick was probably ground to get the blade to seat properly since it is quite a bit short. Empire is not my area of expertise however so I will leave it to others more familiar with the brand to comment further.

Thanks Tom. It does appear to have a good bit of blade loss. Whenever I see that ground kick I'm a little cautious about a possible blade change but the worn blade would explain it.

The seller is a knife hack. The bone looks right, but the blade has seen some work. The blade also is very short. Most stuff I've looked at he sells has been doctored.I personally avoid his listings.

Roger, that is the initial reason for my skepticism. I have seen some of his work before. ::tu::

In the past i bought a few knives from "BM". When received none of them seemed right. I returned a couple of them, no hassle but have never looked at one of his listings since. There are plenty of good sellers with good knives. No need to deal with those whose knives will disappoint you.

I have no experience with the seller. I do think the statement he makes "The blade is full at 98%" may not be entirely accurate. ::td::

I see this knife went through the auction with no bids and has been relisted. Looks like alot of folks are skeptical.

It never reached the rserve in the biding and shows as unsold. He must have a buddy at Nutmeg. One to avoid!
