At least he admits it

Seller lists this one as a "clone" (Isn't that the same as a "fake"?) http://www.ebay.com/itm/CLONE-Case-Test ... SwuR5XPzL5

Since you asked (?).

One of the definitions of "Clone" --
2. a person or thing that duplicates, imitates, or closely resembles another in appearance, function, performance, or style:

Don't be callin' all my 72 clones, fakes. ::poke::

Calling it a "clone" instead of a fake is actually a pretty clever marketing ploy. It gets the point across without denigrating the product.

I had a 73 442 with moon roof and egg shell swivel bucket seats. What a great car that was unlike his knife.

That's pretty interesting! If all is true about how the knife came into being, then it probably would make a great EDC, but not for the price they're hoping to get. Just my 2 cents :) .

I had a 1970 442. It was painted #50 Bamboo, had a Turbo Hydro 400 transmission controlled by a Hurst Dual Gate console shifter and hooked to the pavement through a 3.42 Posi Traction rear end. Went through gas like a dose of salts through the hired girl. Had it for 2½ years and traded it off because gas got so high. 43¢ a gallon.

Yep, 455 cu in 365 hp / 370 ft lb torque (advertised) --- G70-14 tires and dead stock my best time down at the Byron Drag Strip was 14.44 sec @ 98 point something mph. The old girl would peg the needle on the speedometer down past the turn signal indicator which was an indicated top speed of approximately 130 mph.

The only picture I have of her. Taken at Box Elder Campground in the Black Hills of South Dakota in the summer of 1971 (or maybe 1970).

That car was meant to run! That's like hookin a thoroughbred to a plow! She musta been really embarrassed, dragging that thing around, scraping her tail. ::poke::
