Grohman Mini Russell LB. Doesn't feel Chinese to me, feels rock solid. But I could be wrong, it has happened before believe it or not.

In my experience of a few hundred China made knives and even more of non-China made knives, when i think of "Rock Solid", i think "Made in China".
Some people do not like to hear that, but it is the truth right down to $10 Rough Rider and $10 SanRenMu 710, and going up to the $90 AGR Texas Ranger knives, and to the $250 'Ron Lake' knives, all rock solid, every blade.

Fellas, I'm heading that way next week and I'm planning to take the tour. I'm really interested in the marking of their knives. The Grohman I own is clearly stamped. They claim that their knives can be stamped or etched on the same models depending on the person making the knife. This sounds "off" to me. Hopefully they will be making some 340S Minis while I'm there.

Fellas.
The Grohmann that I have is likely the finest skinner I've ever had. I purchased it in 1963. The small stamp reads Rd-1962. Not sure just what the Rd is, but could be the anything, so I'm going to clear that up too while I'm there. The fit and finish are both excellent. I'm hoping to see the same type of workmanship still going on when I visit their shop. Being into Catts. I seldom look at many other brands of folders. It might be time to pick up a few.

Hey hope the factory tour is fun and informative. Maybe then you can find out if this tang stamp means it was made in Canada, or it means they misspelled China?
