Seems I recall asking about one of his knives having an incorrect description.
I don't remember when or what; it's been quite awhile back ....

He admitted his mistake. With over 200 knives listed, maybe it is a simple case of dyslexia (sic).

well greg . . it seems like it but,,,,,,
heres his response .. . .

With all due respect, that knife by the tang stamp dates to be a usa era (1965-69) Case XX knife. 1980's were written with a lightning "S" in the Case. There are no dots underneath the Case XX Stainless USA which would indicate 70's era.

heres mine

the "S" is a lightning "Z" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the "S" is a lightning "Z" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the "S" is a lightning "Z" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SEE PIC 5 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sheesh yer bent on this fraud...

No. its just the reflection. I looked at the knife in person. Jay Parker verified that it is in fact a USA era knife. Just bad photos on the tang stamp. Also they did not use the word "Stainless" in tang stamps in the 80's. only possiblities were a 65-69 or a 70's era. had it been a 1980 knife with stainless steel blades it would have been 10 dots separated by the lightning "SS". Also the blade etch "Razor Edge" helps identify.

This seller (Kevin Pipes) IS Smokey Mountain Knife Works. He owns it.

I don't know that's it's true in every case but in some cases I think someone else creates his listings. A while back he had one of those Salt River, KY (China) knives listed as being from Salt Lake City, Utah. I emailed him and he said yikes he was going to have to watch things closer. They probably sold a pick up truck load of those Salt River knives I think he would have spotted that right off.

Mr. Blister, I can't believe you put your foot in your mouth with this post. How could you have possibly been fooled into thinking this was a 1980's knife. This knife is right as rain and exactly what they described it to be.

Shouldn't have to read the tang stamp to tell this is not a 1980's knife.
If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.
