matching set

Post by just bob »

Here is a 6249 Case counterfeit side by side with an original knife to show the difference in the shield, jigging, tang stamp, nail pull placement, etc. Also notice I think on these types of knives there are 2 pins in the bolster on each end. If you look closely you can see that. The counterfiet knife also has a new grind blade. There is also a folding hunter that matches these posted here. That has the same traits as this knife and the 6380 that was posted yesterday.

Nice comparison post. Thanks!

As Harold pointed out it is a characteristic of the 6207 pattern and MOST Case 2 blade jack knives to have the pen blade located behind the master blade with the nail pull facing the opposite direction of the master pull.

Correct Harold and Wayne on pen blade position. First thing that jumped out at me upon first glance.

Thanks for posting Bob.

WOW, you guys are brilliant!!

Great post.

Now if we could have a comparision fake to real for every Case knife ::paranoid::

I'd change the subject line in this because I wasn't expecting what I read and viewed at all.

New grind blades on a 40-64? Shouldn't he have his counterfeiters card revoked?

Looks like something I might make in my basement with my wood burning iron.
