Not Counterfeit, But Improperly Represented

Post by RobesonsRme.com »

This knife is listed as a "vintage" Robeson ShurEdge, Rochester, New York PocketEze.

Pattern number listed as 0622113.

Actually, the "0" is a "Q", indicating "Queen".

I don't know when it was made, late 80's, early 90's, I'd guess. I don't follow these.

I'm not familiar with a 113 pattern, most Robeson toothpicks were 407's.

I don't think Robeson ever put a PocketEze shield on a toothpick and neither should Queen have done so because they didn't even bother to make the back of the blade flush with the frame, thus rendering the knife "easy on the pockets".

I suppose the asking price is in the ballpark on this knife.

Just don't bid thinking it's a pre-WWII Robeson jack.

I had notified the seller re' this. I received an e-mail from him today thanking me for the information and stating he had contacted the bidder(s) in the auction to let them know.

He has added, in bold typeface, the information to the auction.

Apparently, he had no idea.

Queen made those in either 1998 or 1999. I thought that they had the year stamped but evidently not.
