Painted Pony Knives

Post by Tom Hudson »

any collectors out there for Mikes knives? i have his very first hand made spring back if anyone is interested in it - ser. #1 - I don't know if mike made the whole knife or used a factory knife and hand ground a blade for it - Not the best workmanship - but it was his first effort! He has crtainly turned out some nice stuff over the years - i think i interduce Mike to this customizing knife thing. He was only building stick knives when i first met him - he took customized knives to the mass market along with Crazy Horse - I can take a pix if anyone is interested - tom

Dale i guess it's off the market - it's not in the knife roll anymore? it's been in that knife roll for about 26 years! i don't display old knives at the shows anymore but i normally have a couple of knife rolls under the table - The roll that knife was in i had out a couple of times at the last gun show - either someone Jacked it or it just fell out at the show or here in the shop - i'll do some more looking maybe it will turn up but i'm afraid it's history - it's a single blade - white smooth bone worked liners & signed North & Prater Ser no 1 - Dem!
